It seems to me that a lot of bloggers (especially those of us who are female bloggers) have “issues” about coming off as “salesy” or “pushy”. In reality, most readers don’t feel pressured or pushed. You’re offering something they want to know about. It’s your job to tell them.

Money

My earnings for the month of January from Amazon were just over $1,500. I was averaging less than $200 just a few months ago.

When I got a check for $800 for December, I thought I just did well because of the holidays. The holidays really help you with Amazon, since people shop a lot more. But, nope. It wasn’t just the holidays, seeing how I almost doubled my income in January.

Let’s take a look at what I did to increase my Amazon earnings on CHEESESLAVE by 700% within three months.

My Goals for 2012

I hate New Year’s Eve. A bunch of drunks trying to make up for the fact that they wasted another year.

As much as I despise New Year’s Eve, I love the whole process of setting goals for the new year. Why? Because goals are POWERFUL, ya’ll! All those drunks trying to forget all their failures and missed opportunities. I’d rather use the time to look back on what I achieved, learn from my failures, and plan the upcoming year.

I just posted my Top 10 Posts of 2011 on my CHEESESLAVE blog. As I read through the list, I was looking for patterns. I was wondering what made all these posts so popular.

What struck me is that every popular post I wrote was based on me having DONE something. Either I read a book, or traveled somewhere, or tested a recipe. I didn’t just post my thoughts about a topic.
